Content: The drama about the Zeppelin LZ 129 “Hindenburg”, a masterpiece of German engineering, seared into the memory of mankind as one of the greatest technical disasters of the 20th century when 35 people lost their lives in the inferno. The focal point lies with Merten Kröger (Maximilian Simonischek), a young airship construction engineer, and Jennifer van Zandt (Laureen Lee Smith), the love of his life, who is a daughter of the US American congressman Edward van Zandt (Stacy Keach), who with her mother Helen (Greta Scacchi) is also on board. When Merten Kröger uncovers a German-American plot aimed at the destruction of the Zeppelin, he tries everything in his power to prevent the looming catastrophe. But in the moment of landing and shortly before all passengers can be saved, the airship turns into a sea of flames. But there are survivors – and the uncovering of the tragedy furthers unforeseen involvements.
